old is new

i've been updating my website and have been scanning in old work. this is a shot that i've always loved. reminds me of junior high school. one day it was all the rage to wear izod collar shirts and plaid shorts, the next day, everyone was wearing torn up stockings and wearing safety pins in their ears. i love that about life and fashion. just when you think you've got it figured out, a curve ball comes your way to spice things up.

i'm not a songwriter, but i woke up this morning with a tune in my head and the lyric "sometimes i want to jump off into the sand and make myself a one woman acrobat duo..." o.k. well, anyway. i thought that could certainly happen here in venice beach! maybe in my next life.
