My mom's birthday is tomorrow. I used to love to wear her dresses. Her jewelry, her hats,her make up. She is as lovely as ever and continues to be a massive inspiration to me. Happy birthday mom!

I haven't taken life drawing classes since I was in college. My friend Barbara told me about this great drop in class at the YWCA in Santa Monica. Great tunes inspire a cool, unstructured vibe in the cavernous gym. I'm loving working in color which is something I never did in art school, where charcoal was king.
